Writing in Health Sciences

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) has three degree programs: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Laboratory Science and Bachelor of Health Sciences. All programs require current knowledge of the rapidly evolving science within their disciplines.

Each program of study has a strong emphasis on research and academic writing along with professional documentation (i.e. references and citations). Most assignments in these programs will involve a lot of writing, but there will be differences in style, formatting, and organization for each type of assignment.

In all Health Sciences programs, you will use APA formatting for references and citations.
