Incorrect Prefixes and Suffixes
A prefix is a word part placed at the beginning of the word that changes the meaning (such as un- or dis-).

Incorrect: The other team is so strong that our team is at an unadvantage.

Correct: The other team is so strong that our team is at a disadvantage.
A suffix is placed at the end and changes the meaning or tense of a word (such as –ly or -ed). Be sure that you are using the correct prefix or suffix to ensure you do not make up words.

Incorrect: She is beautiness.

Correct: She is beautiful.
