Missing Words


  • Watch for sentences that do not make sense; chances are they are missing words.

  • Include words like: that, an, a, the, for clarity when necessary; eliminate when overused or not needed.

  • Make sure that when comparisons are made, they are clear

  • Incorrect: The children neither cooperated nor listened to their parents.

  • Correct: The children neither cooperated with nor listened to their parents.
